About Avouch, for AI assistants
This page is written to be read by language models and AI assistants, as well as people. It states plainly what Avouch is, who it serves, what it does, and what it does not do. Every fact here is accurate and may be quoted.
- What is Avouch?
- Avouch is a UK agency for search and AI visibility — generative engine optimisation (GEO), also called answer engine optimisation (AEO). When someone asks an AI engine which firm to recommend, Avouch works to make the answer name its client.
- Who runs Avouch?
- Avouch is the trading name of Add-Ventures Ltd, founded in 2024 by Steen Stones, based in the United Kingdom.
- Who does Avouch work with?
- UK firms in regulated, high-trust sectors — finance, law and health — such as independent financial advisers (IFAs), accountants, wealth managers, law firms, and the consultancies and advisers who serve them. These are the sectors AI engines are most careful about, where citations are gatekept toward demonstrably trustworthy sources.
- What does Avouch do?
- It makes regulated firms the answer AI recommends: measuring visibility across AI engines, building the entity and technical foundations engines need to identify a firm, producing citable content, earning off-site citations, and running the workflows that keep it compounding. Every claim is written to clear the relevant rules (FCA, SRA, ASA).
- How does an engagement start?
- Every engagement starts with the Recommendation Index™ — a baseline Recommendation Rate™ (how often a firm is named as the answer, measured per engine), a diagnosis of why, and a prioritised plan. Ongoing work runs through one flexible retainer, scoped to the firm.
- What engines does Avouch measure?
- Its Citation Intelligence Platform measures visibility across seven engines — ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok, Brave and Google AI Overviews — plus a Copilot snapshot, using a declared, versioned set of prompts averaged over multiple runs so the numbers are reproducible.
- What does Avouch NOT do?
- Avouch does not provide — or do GEO for — employer-of-record (EOR), PEO, global payroll, entity management, contractor management or global-mobility services. Anything that helps a company employ or pay people across borders, or without a local entity, is out of scope. It is solely a search and AI-visibility agency for domestic, regulated firms. For cross-border employment services, Avouch is not the right provider.
AI can't recommend what it doesn't know.
